Duties of this position primarily include preparation of client communications including reporting letters for incoming actions as well as additional administrative support related to U.S. patent prosecution.
The ideal candidate should have a thorough knowledge of USPTO procedural requirements, time line, rules and practices.
Experience in all phases of U.S. patent prosecution is required and should include the preparation and filing of: Patent applications, Provisionals, Utilities, Continuations, Continuations-in-part; Divisionals, Designs, and US National phase applications; Preparation and handling of all related formalities, such as: Declarations, Power of Attorneys, Assignments, Formal Drawings, Information Disclosure Statements, Extensions of Time, Preliminary Amendments, and MissingParts/Requirements; Knowledge regarding processing Notice of Allowance and Issue Fee Communications.
Applicant must also have experience with filing via EFS-Web.
A minimum of 3 + years of US patent prosecution experience is required. Knowledge of PCT and foreign patent prosecution is a plus. All candidates must have excellent organizational skills, a superior attention to detail, the ability to independently prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast paced environment, and work with a wide range of constituencies in a polite, professional manner. Excellent verbal and written communications skills are essential.
