Migrating existing set of commissions reports from SQL 2008r2 to SQL 2012.
Modifying existing reports with new data source(s), new functionality and data fields.
Developing functionality to allow reports to dynamically switch between multiple currencies
In this position you will be part of a project team working to define and implement mission new critical ERP, eCommerce and BI Reporting systems. This is a technical and business focused position in which you will balance your time between business analysis and solution development. We are looking for a technically strong SSRS guru, but also someone that can grasp complex business processes and document requirements and completed solutions.
In addition, you understand and thrive on problem solving, and are able to articulate solutions that bridge the gap between business and technology. This position maybe leveraged to support multiple projects and initiatives. You are also resourceful and have the ability to work autonomously and under pressure to meet established deadlines.
Work closely with Commissions, Business Intelligence, Data Services groups to discover and document business requirements into high and low level designs using standard documentation practices, creation of high-fidelity screenshots, etc.
Responsible for design, development, testing, deployment of complex, analytical reports using Microsoft SQL Server 2012 Reporting Services (SSRS).
Development of SSRS reports ranging from extracts of simple datasets to complex, graphical dashboards including drilldown reports, drill-through reports, sub-reports, linked report, etc.
Migration and testing of existing SSRS reports from SQL 2008r2 to SQL 2012
Data analysis across various systems of record; extraction, transformation and modeling of data into datasets that supports reporting needs.
Building and maintenance of complex queries, stored procedures, views, etc. to support reporting needs.
Perform testing quality control, quality assurance and auditing of the reporting solutions to ensure the accuracy and quality of data
Deploying of completed reports into SQL Server Reporting Services environment.
Mix of job responsibilities may vary across project assignments and business needs.
5+ years’ experience in relational database analysis, query design, and reporting
3+ years’ experience in developing reports using Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
Strong proficiency in Transact-SQL and developing complex queries and stored procedures.
Proficient in MS SQL Server 2008r2 and MS SQL Server 2012 .
Understanding of OLAP and Enterprise Data Warehousing methodologies and concepts, including star, snowflake data models and have implemented BI reporting on top of them
Strong analytical, multi-tasking and problem solving skills.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Strong documentation and communication skills, with an ability thoroughly document reporting solution from Discovery to Deployment
Self-motivated and independent, able to work with a minimum of supervision, and able to work well with stakeholders and project staff
Exceptional quantitative analytical and problem solving skills.
Must have outstanding attention to detail and accuracy.
Prior experience building reports for a complex commissions systems, preferably for Direct Sales/Multi-Level Marketing Industry a big plus
Certified Microsoft MCSE in Business Intelligence preferred
